Responsibilities:
- Support Application teams on SQL Server development projects
- Perform database software installation, configuration and upgrades
- Work on Consolidation of major business environments into fewer consolidated environments
- Configure and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
- Clustering configuration and support
- Write and troubleshoot SQL Code for stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
- Troubleshoot and resolve all types of database issues
- Work with the developers for optimal SQL Server behavior
- Performance tune at the server and SQL Server level
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercise
- Implement automation of reoccurring DBA tasks
- Assist in capacity planning
- Implement Microsoft best practices for configuring and operating SQL Server
- Document processes, standards, policies
- Support security policies, documentation, SOX, reporting Ability
Minimum Educational Requirements: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
