Software Developer – Job Code: SD-61

Responsibilties

• Comprehend business needs and requirements during scrum meetings with business analysts through features and user stories.
• Collaborate with the team to design and discuss technical implementations, creating tasks for features and user stories.
• Implement features by writing or updating code across various project modules.
• Commit changes to the source control repository and participate in code reviews.
• Write unit tests to ensure business logic is future-proofed and improve overall code coverage.
• Develop integration tests to automate critical business scenarios before deploying new features to production.
• Review and analyze code written by other team members.
• Update actual hours spent on implementation in the user stories and tasks.
• Engage in daily sync-up or stand-up meetings to inform business and team members about the progress of feature implementation.
• Participate in developer sync-up meetings to seek help or assist others in case of roadblocks.
• Provide demos to the business to obtain approval for moving changes to user acceptance testing in a staging environment.
• Assist other team members in case any risky deliverables are identified during sprint meetings.  

Minimum Educational Requirements:  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
